CNN International has partnered with South African Tourism (SA Tourism) under a brand campaign coined “My South Africa”, which is set to stimulate interest and raise knowledge about SA across the globe.

The multimedia campaign is geared towards CNN’s business and leisure travel audience of 220 million people and launched earlier this month with the user-driven content website, mysouthafrica.tv.

The ambitious site encourages its users to upload photos, videos, stories and anything that captures the feelings and experiences they had while visiting South Africa, a bonus being that they could win a trip to South Africa by doing so.

Users can also rate the entries, sign up for the newsletter or read the online magazine, ‘Something Amazing’.

Other promotions for the My South Africa brand include CNN-produced television spots; print advertising in CNN’s Traveller magazine and internet promotions with social networking sites such as Facebook and Flickr.

The My South Africa campaign runs until the end of 2010.

Not the biggest flash fan, but it has some nice features!

I’ve looked at some of the features - while creative the magazine I looked at wasn’t completed.. which rankles. There wasn’t an option to pause Yvonne while she was downloading - so I had to manually turn her off - she sounded terrible during the first download. I also noticed that some of the images have a grainy resolution? I am a little concerned that such a huge campaign could hinge on such an average site!

I love the SA adverts and been trying to get the soundtrack to use as my ringtone. Any ideas where I can get it? thanks.

    OK. Here I go:
The website is fantastic. I hope that http://www.mysouthafrica.co.za will also be as fantastic, without the flash hey. It is interesting that http://www.mysouthafrica.co.za is not yet developed by this time. I hope I will be able to post up my 2010 worldcup events and gigs pictures on http://www.mysouthafrica.co.za, my safari adventures on http://www.mysouthafrica.co.za, my food and cooking adventures on http://www.mysouthafrica.co.za.

Well to get the sound track you will have to download the .swf/flash file from the mysouthafrica site. To do this just search for how to download flash from a live website. Then download some open source flash/swf editor then axtract the sound track.
